Protected: Hey,
Sorry to not keep this up to date. I’ve kind of had my mind on other things lately.
The flat’s getting there, I’m still being far too lazy and haven’t unpacked a lot of boxes from Reading so they’re hanging around. We went to Ikea with Ben & Annie back at the beginning of October and bought a lovely bright rug which makes the lounge feel so much more homely. We got a few other things too, like cushions and bath mats, general ‘make a house a home’ type stuff. The House of Fraser wedding gifts haven’t arrived yet. They seem to be taking forever because 1 or 2 items are out of stock. It should be delivered by the end of the month (I hope) which is something to look forward to (sp: too or to?).
The really annoying thing is that there’s an Irish Cafe due to open downstairs and someone has also moved out of the flat above us. This means that downstairs builders are in at 08:30 every morning except at the weekend and from then on, they’re knocking walls down, hammering, banging etc etc. They came upstairs last Monday (my day off) and found out that our toilet and shower (over the bath) was leaking. They took the bath panel off and found a (quite large) hole directly under the bath which didn’t have any ceiling-style installation so we could see the floor below perfectly! Hopefully they’ve fixed everything now but as there’s no sound proofing or proper ceiling our floor shakes whenever they hit a wall etc. At 8:30 in the morning. Also the most of the work is under Dan’s study so it’s not exactly great.
Work. Well, I was hating it, worse than when I was in Uniglobe, which is a lot. I can’t go into reasons why on here incase someone reads this from my branch. I’m also not doing very well, performance-wise everyone is graded from A to D. I’m a ‘D’ in the Fareham branch. On Friday I had my end of year review which went a lot better than expected (turns out I was a ‘C’ last year) but I got myself so worried and worked up that I spent most of the review crying and telling the manager that I just want to move branches to get out of here! oops! But since the review, work has been a whole lot better. It’s only been 2 days (I’m not at work today but worked over the weekend) so it’s still early days but hopefully things will be looking up.
Mum had and operation on Thursday too which went OK. She had torn a tendon in her knee which couldn’t heal as a cyst had grown on the tear. She had keyhole surgery which they discovered that the cyst was a lot bigger than they thought, Mum passed out because of the pain so had to stay overnight at the hospital when it was meant to be a day op. But she’s fine now, annoyed that she can’t get up and walk properly but OK.
I so can’t wait ’til Christmas! Annoyingly I still haven’t found out my dates off yet for December but eeeee! I get to be a kid again, eat sweets at Grandma (Joy’s) & Grandads, spend time with the family and cousins etc, stuff myself at Christmas dinner with the BEST yorkshire puddings in the world and get presents! AWESOME times in my books!
Oh! I nearly forgot! NEW MOON IS OUT ON THE 20TH! I’m so so excited, I haven’t stopped talking about it! I’m coming back to Banbury and going to see it with Zach and my cousin, Brooke. We’ve got premier seats and I am so excited!
AND I’m going to see Paramore in concert at the O2 Arena on the 18th December with a couple of the guys from church! :D
So yeah. Well done if you managed to read through all of my mindless blabbering, when you see me I’ll give you a gold star
